The Problem
Formulated through empathy interviews
Educating, training, or/and employment has significant implications for the overall well-being of youth and their ability to promote future economic growth, development, and sociopolitical stability. In 2019, Fondation Botnar supported via UNICEF a two-year design process that embraced human-centred design principles to set up a new instrument that will leverage digital innovation for the social sectors. Empathy interviews were held with innovation ecosystem players and young people in Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia.
The objective was to take a deep dive into the problem space and identify key pain points, which can be found within the next chapter.
